Welcome to Woodbridge, Virginia
Woodbridge is a great place to live with lots to see and do. From history to shopping, Woodbridge has you covered!
Let's start with shopping. It's tough to beat Potomac Mills Mall, one of the largest outlet malls in the United States and a highly popular tourist destination. Yes, it's crowded, especially on weekends, but there's not much you won't be able to get there. If you live in Woodbridge, plan to spend lots of time there and don't worry too much about traveling farther to get to the other area malls.
Shopping not for you? Prefer exploring the outdoors or learning more about history? Not a problem. With nearby Prince William Forest, there's plenty of opportunity for hiking and camping. You can bird watch at the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Prefer history? How about the Freestone Point Confederate Battery, which helped the Confederacy successfully blockade the Potomac River. Gunston Hall, home of George Mason is nearby as is Rippon Lodge, the oldest house remaining in Prince William County.
Schools are part of the Prince William County school system, and seven public high schools serve Woodbridge, along with associated middle and elementary schools.
Commuting to the rest of the Greater Washington DC area is easy with access to I95, which will take you to all the other major regional highways. Prefer rail? Not a problem. Woodbridge has a Virginia Railway Express station.
